Camp Red Cedar employs many different seasonal and year-round positions. Our employees are a part of something greater while working at camp. Whether you’re working directly with our participants as a DSP, Camp Counselor, or Recreation Therapist, or behind the scenes as a Field Supervisor, Barn Hand, or Program Coordinator, we all work together to serve our community!

Seasonal Positions
Can you imagine a better place to work than at Camp Red Cedar? How about working with children and adults of all abilities to give them the best experience imaginable?
It takes a special person to be a camp counselor, and we know that. That’s why we carefully select our summer staff after a thorough interview process and detailed background checks. We look for individuals who are confident, compassionate, mature, detail-oriented, responsible, and, most of all, fun!
Camp staff positions include camp counselors, lifeguards; certified horseback riding instructors and barn staff. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and available from the end of May until the end of August. Camp staff work Monday through Friday, 7a.m. to 4 p.m., and counselors will rotate to cover the weekly optional overnight that some of our camps offer. Staff members are required to attend two weeks of paid training, which includes CPR and First Aid certification.
